You’ll find a diverse range of activities around the town’s beaches, port and lake, including surfing, jet-skiing, fishing, hiking... or simply doing nothing.
Just 8 km away from our campsite in the Landes, discover Capbreton, a leisure port and famous seaside resort. More than 900 boats of all kinds are moored there - it’s quite the spectacle when they head out to sea and when they come back!
Carry on towards Bayonne, in the north of the Basque Country, to sample its famous ham and delicious chocolate! Further south, Biarritz will charm you with its mild climate and powerful waves. And finally, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, just a 30-minute drive away from Le Boudigau campsite, will be your gateway to Spain.

Staying at a campsite in the Landes gives you access to an incredible array of riches. To the west, there’s the ocean; to the east, the forest. The charm of the Landes lies first and foremost in its famous forest... inhale the scent of the pine trees, go for a walk or a bike ride and pass through clearings where you’ll see clusters of typical Landes houses.
You can also take walks through the gardens of the market town of Labenne and discover its amphitheatre of greenery. The marais d’Orx, a protected wetland, offers you the chance to explore a place that’s home to a great diversity of bird species.
Some typical local towns that you just can’t miss: Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, listed as one of France’s most beautiful villages, and Espelette, known for its famous half-timbered houses adorned with peppers!

Go on a family trip to the Zoo de Labenne, where you can see a variety of animals coexisting in an exceptional setting. You can even feed and pet certain species, such as the wallabies.
