With its mild climate and generous sunshine, the Quiberon peninsula has some wonderful surprises in store for your campsite holiday between long sandy beaches to the east, and a fabulous coastal wilderness to the west. Wander through narrow streets in the typical villages of Brittany, head for the southern tip of the peninsula for a boat trip to the islands of the Gulf of Morbihan, and just go with the flow!
History enthusiasts can roam between the multiple menhirs dotted across the region, including the famous Kerbourgnec megaliths in Saint-Pierre-Quiberon. To the west, Turpault Castle, a mansion of Anglo-Medieval inspiration, towers above the tip of the wild coast. On the mainland, a multitude of chapels and churches invite you to visit during your campsite holiday. The Shrine of Sainte-Anne d’Auray is a must-see.
Sports enthusiasts will be able to enjoy watersports to their heart’s content, such as surfing, sailing or paddleboarding. You’ll find a whole array of hiking trails and cycle paths, as well as bridleways for the less energetic, the perfect compromise for exploring this area of southern Brittany. For a more restful campsite holiday, treat yourself to a thalassotherapy session!
